| Services Liberalization in the Doha Round: US Industry Priorities
Conference Organized by the Coalition of Service Industries and the US Department of Commerce

This conference discussed the priorities and objectives in the WTO for a number of key US services industries, allowing industry executives and specialists to provide input and guidance to US trade negotiators in advance of negotiating rounds leading to the May 2005 deadline for WTO to members to submit revised services offers.
Private sector representatives outlined industry objectives in sectors including banking, insurance, asset management, audio visual services, telecommunications, legal and other professional services, express delivery services, energy services, health care services, and education services.
In addition, the conference addressed a series of other cross-cutting issues, including transparency, temporary entry, the GATS and sub-federal regulation, and other topics. The presentations and reports from the event will be added to this web page as we receive them.
